Last week, we were onsite in Georgetown, D.C. doing restoration and regrouting work on some limestone floors and countertops. The surfaces had aged poorly which resulting in etch marks and minor scratches that dulled the look of the stone.

To solve the limestone problems, we used a three step restoration process which produces the best results as limestone is very responsive to the diamond restoration process. By using 120/220 grit diamond pads, we were able to remove all of the etch marks and scratches that covered the stone and followed the diamond pads with #2 vortex pads. This gives the stone a beautiful, shiny finish that is velvety smooth to the touch. After all of the etch marks had been removed, the floors and countertops were sealed to prolong the life of the stone as limestone is a very porous material.

Here at Zoltan Stoneworks, we work hard to ensure that each stone restoration job is treated with the highest level of professionalism and care. We’d love to work with you next! Give us a call today!
