Our team recently had the pleasure of restoring this rustic, French patterned travertine floor in a residential home in Georgetown. Due to the floor being in the kitchen, which is one of the most high-traffic areas of a home, the surface of the floor had become dull and garnered lots of wear over the years. The wide-style grout lines gathered lots of grit and dirt which made them difficult for the client to clean and bring back to their original light linen color.

We first used a grout color seal on the grout lines to bring them back to their bright, white finish. Grout color seal will bond to your grout, filling the pores, while keeping the same look and texture of your original grout while protecting it from dirt. Then, we performed a typical 3 step honing and polishing restoration on the travertine surfaces with #1,#2, and #3 vortex pads
